Black Friday TV Deals 2026: LG's C6 OLED Hit $999 Before the Sale Even Started

Best Buy's Black Friday event opened Nov 6 with LG's 2026 C6 OLED at $999 for 55 inches. What that means for the C5, our #1 TV, and the prices to hold out for.

Best Buy opened its Black Friday event on November 6, three weeks before Black Friday itself, and the TV deal that matters most is LG's 2026 C6 OLED at 55 inches for $999, down from $1,999 (Tom's Guide; MacRumors lists the same 55-inch LG evo at $999.99). That one price changes the advice for the most popular TV on our list.

Why a $999 C6 matters for the C5

The LG C5 is #1 on Gavler's Best TVs list, and our advice all year has been to buy last year's C-series at a discount instead of the new model at launch. That only works when the price gap is wide, because the performance gap is narrow. Tom's Guide's lab tests put the C6 at 1,355 nits of HDR brightness (10% window) against 1,165 for the C5, with a 165Hz refresh rate against 144Hz and the same input lag. Tom's Guide later named the C6 its Best TV Overall.

At $999 for 55 inches, the C6 is no longer the premium pick. It's the default. The C5 is still a great TV, but at 55 inches it has to come in well under $999 to be the smarter buy. If it doesn't, get the C6.

At 65 inches the bar is already set. The C6 sold for $1,499 during Amazon's October Prime event (TechRadar) and $1,599 at Amazon in September (Tom's Guide). A 65-inch C6 above $1,499 this month isn't a Black Friday deal. It's a regular price with a banner on it.

The other early prices worth knowing

  • LG B6, 48-inch: $599 (was $1,199) at Best Buy, per Tom's Guide. The B-series is LG's entry OLED. It gives up some brightness to the C-series, but at this size and price it's the cheapest way into OLED. Last year's LG B5 sits at #11 on our list.
  • Samsung S84H, 65-inch OLED: $899 (was $2,099) at Best Buy, per Tom's Guide. That's a 65-inch OLED for less than the 55-inch C6. If screen size matters more to you than the last bit of brightness, this is the one to look at.
  • Sony Bravia 7 II, 50-inch: $1,299.99 ($300 off) at Best Buy, per MacRumors. A smaller cut than the OLEDs. Sony's picks on our list, the Bravia 9 II (#3) and Bravia 8 II (#4), aren't among the deals Best Buy has highlighted so far.

When to buy

Best Buy's schedule, per MacRumors: early deals and weekly doorbusters now, the main Black Friday sale November 19–28, and Cyber Monday November 29–30. Some prices require a paid My Best Buy membership, which starts at $49.99 a year, so check the fine print before you count the savings.

The rule from our Black Friday 2026 guide still holds: a deal is only real if it beats what the same TV sold for in October. The 55-inch C6 at half its list price clears that bar today. If that's the TV you want, there's little reason to wait three weeks for a better number.

Common Questions

Best Buy's early Black Friday deals started November 6, 2026, with new doorbusters added each week in November. The main Black Friday sale runs November 19–28 and Cyber Monday runs November 29–30, according to MacRumors. Some prices require a paid My Best Buy membership.

At 55 inches, the C6 at $999 is the better buy unless the C5 comes in well under that. Tom's Guide measured the C6 at 1,355 nits of HDR brightness against 1,165 for the C5, and the C6 adds a 165Hz refresh rate. The gap is modest, so the older C5 only wins on a clearly lower price.

$1,499 or less. That's what the 65-inch C6 sold for during Amazon's October Prime event, according to TechRadar, and it was $1,599 at Amazon in September per Tom's Guide. Anything above $1,499 this month isn't a Black Friday deal.

Not yet. The LG C5 is the #1 TV on Gavler's community-ranked Best TVs list. The C6 is its 2026 successor, and the C5 remains the reference point until voters weigh in on the newer model.
