GMC Sierra EV.
Up to 478 miles of GM-estimated range, 12,500 lb max towing, and CrabWalk four-wheel steer, in a quieter, better-trimmed cabin than its Chevrolet twin.

The Verdict.
Gavler Meta-Score
“Choose the Sierra EV over the Silverado EV if you want the same long-range hardware in a quieter, better-finished cabin, with CrabWalk and Super Cruise on the options list. No rival went farther in Edmunds' range testing. The trade-offs are high energy use per mile, a busy ride on the big wheels, no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and prices that climb past $90,000 for the Max Range trims.”

Precision Engineering
4-Wheel Steer with CrabWalk
The rear wheels steer independently of the fronts to tighten the turning circle, and CrabWalk turns all four the same way so the truck can move diagonally at low speed.
MultiPro Midgate
Fold the rear seats, remove the back glass and drop the midgate to open the cab to the bed for 10 feet 10 inches of load length. A lockable front trunk adds weatherproof storage.
507-Mile Tested Range
GMC estimates up to 478 miles for Max Range trucks; Edmunds' Denali Max Range test truck went 507 miles on a single charge. Efficiency is the weak spot, at 47 to 48 kWh per 100 miles in Edmunds' testing.

The Scoreboard
Edmunds rates the 2026 Sierra EV 7.2/10, with 9.5 for towing and hauling and tested range well beyond the EPA figures, but 5.8 for range, efficiency and charging because of its high energy use, plus a busy ride on 22- and 24-inch wheels and no CarPlay or Android Auto.

Global Critique
“We ran both the extended-range Elevation and the Denali Max Range models through the Edmunds EV Range Test, and each blew past its EPA estimate, traveling 429 miles and 507 miles on a single charge, respectively.”
“But the Sierra isn't as efficient as most EV pickups.”
“Those wheels use tires with skinny sidewalls, making the ride somewhat stiff and busy.”
“For all its size and heft, it’s a shockingly nimble machine thanks to the four-wheel-steering setup (which can be toggled on command.)”
“That thicker glass and the improvements to noise, vibration and harshness do make the Sierra EV a legit luxury truck, and a far more pleasant place to spend time than the Silverado EV.”
