Tumi Alpha 3 Extended Trip Expandable.
Tumi Alpha 3 Extended Trip Expandable 4-Wheeled Packing Case — FXT ballistic nylon, Lever Lock two-stage expansion, removable garment sleeve, Tumi Tracer.
The Verdict.
Gavler Meta-Score
“The luxury ballistic packing case. FXT, a garment sleeve, and Tracer at $1,200-plus — and 18 lb empty. Buy Briggs if the warranty is the reason; buy this if Tumi service already is your life.”

Precision Engineering
FXT Ballistic Nylon
Tumi’s patented ballistic. The material argument, not the logo argument.
Garment Sleeve + Lever Lock
A removable suit sleeve and two-stage expansion. This is a packing case, not a duffel with wheels.
Tumi Tracer
Tumi’s lost-bag recovery program. Different from July CaseSafe — a registry, not Find My in the lock.
