“For homes with mixed flooring and pets, the Stratos is a workhorse. DuoClean handles the hard floor-to-carpet transition better than any single-head vacuum I've used, and Powered Lift-Away gives you under-furniture reach without losing suction. The self-cleaning brushroll genuinely works — no more scissoring hair out of the roller. At $449 it's not cheap for an upright, but it replaces what used to take two vacuums to accomplish. The main trade-off: it's corded and heavy. If you want portability, look at the cordless options above.”
